This series on the prophetic is based off my handwritten notes, which I took as I attended classes on this topic at church in Oct 2024.
- Rom 8: All of creation is groaning: for a priest-king
- Which is the Melchizedak order we are to walk in
Introduction:
- David was a priest who grew up in the shadow of the Lord at countryside, way before he became king
- And had developed an intimate relationship with God
- Psa 24: Who will ascend the hill of God, but he who has clean hands and pure heart
- The answer as we know is only through the Levitical priesthood
- And David was also clear, but he was like God: maybe there’s a backdoor, I want to meet You Lord on top of Zion
- There is a spiritual annointing of the Melchizedek priesthood
- Each of 3 times the Melchizedek priesthood was mentioned in Scripture, was in the context of war (Gen 14, Psa 110, Heb 7)
- Every time we see Melchizedek’s name, we see the rule of God on earth
- The body of Christ is going to be a kingdom, and reigning body to fulfil Rom 8
- Scripture says we are transformed from glory to glory, and as like Nineveh, there can be repentance in one day (please refer to Jon 4:2 article)
- As opposed to the idea that Christ returns and make everything right once and for all
- So Christ wants to manifest His kingdom here on earth
- So we need to seek God, and His kingdom, even as we are here on earth
Seeking God and His kingdom:
- Matt 7:7-8, James 1:5
- Wisdom in James 1:5 is a low-lying fruit of Matt 7:7-8
- Ask and you shall receive, it is an easy process
- But usually in seeking God’s treasures, there is a progression
- Prov 2:2-4: There is a progression, and this seeking is slightly different, from James 1:5
- Peter says to virtue add knowledge: having character is most important, and once you have that, God can entrust you with knowledge, and you won’t boast about it
- There is a virtue that needs to be established, so the treasures of the kingdom can be released to us: if we seek casually, it determines the treasures we shall receive
- Eph 3: In searching / seeking for revelation for instance, there is no straight path to go into that revelation, we have to seek God hard enough
- You have to search it out that in your hunger, you develop virtue / character, that you can steward the wisdom God has given to you
- Psa 91:1: He who dwells in the secret place (holy of holies), of the Most High (el-eloyon / presence)
- He who abides in the shadow (cherubim) of the the Most High (elshedai / shield)
- Scripture first mention principle: whenever it’s subsequently mentioned, it will carry the same weight, as first-mentioned
- There has to be an establishment of righteousness to walk in the Melchizedek priesthood, we can’t do it on our own
- Heb 5: We don’t live under the Levitical priesthood (performance, strength, my own ideas), but this has to with surrender and by the Spirit we live and weigh over the law
- There is a deep seeking and searching to enter into rest and Jesus has already established that for us
- If God wants obedience and not sacrifice, then why prayer / fasting
- The context is He does not want a blood sacrifice, but He wants a living sacrifice
Melchizedek order:
- There is unsearchable treasures in the heart of God: the Melchizedek order, Christ in us, Christ through me
- Are the priestly-kingly robe of Melchizedek, the 7 Spirits of God?
- Instructor believed the order of Melchizedek priesthood is going to have the 7 Spirits of God
- Please refer to Prophetic Part 3: Different Flavours of the Prophetic Anointing article, for a recap on 7 Spirits of God
- Instructor believes we are coming into more and more, the revelation on how do we live and reign in this Melchizedek priesthood / order
- He believes the message that God is bringing through is Rom 8: Christ is reigning so much that His glory is reflected in creation
- Isa 9:6-7: Unto us a child is given, upon the throne of David and over His kingdom
- v6: Government is used twice in whole Scripture, and is connected to root word “sera” that is only used 3 times in Scripture and all of them makes reference to Jacob
- 2 Tim 2:3-4: Execute the reign and rule of Christ on earth
- 1 Tim 6:12: hold, means to bring something under subjection
- Instructor believes the reign of Christ can only happen fully when revelation of Melchizedek priesthood is complete
- If the robes of the Melchizedek priesthood is the 7 Spirits of God, then only a life laid down can walk in God
- And God is slowly unfolding revelations of the Melchizedek priesthood
- Whenever we extend our boundaries, even as a church to new places, it is going to hit demonic resistance
- So we have to walk in the Melchizedek priesthood and rule
Journey up Zion:
- All Scripture points to Zion: David was consumed with going up Zion, and Christ coming to reign, and the top of the mountain is where heaven meets earth
- When Moses met God at the top of mount Sinai (place of revelation, and kingly rule of heaven on earth), he was given an heavenly pattern on the tabernacle (Exo 25-31)
- But when he came down to earth to meet the Israelites he didn’t say: Help Lord, but just executed what God told him
- Priest has intimacy and revelation from God, and now everyone of us is called to rule over something could be over ourselves, families, etc
- As we come into communion with Him, we lose a bit of ourselves, all he wants us to do is to lay down, it’s no work, but surrender
- But as we are going up higher in Zion, God tells us to surrender certain things, so that we can rule over greater things like nations
- There will be enemy resistance, because they know the glory will increase
- But we should have an eternal vision fixated on Zion, so that when we meet resistance, we know to push through
- We are seated with Him in heavenly places (heavenly vision), and depending on the degree of how much we give ourselves, it determines how much God gives us to rule and reign His kingdom on earth
- That we may come into fullness of intimacy (priesthood) with Christ, but at the same time, we will rule (kingship) with Christ on earth
- We have an incredible invitation to reign, and this is not just for one person, but all of us
- And the beautiful thing of the Melchizedek priesthood, is that this is above even the five-fold ministries (please refer to Five-Fold Ministry series)
