This series on supernatural healing is based off my handwritten notes, which I took as I attended classes on this topic at church in Apr 2024.
- There are two things: healing and deliverance
- Healing: Physical, emotional, spiritual
- Deliverance: Casting out evil spirits taking a foothold in our lives, only for believers
- Many are in need of: physical healing, emotional healing, and demonic spirits
- Some sickness / illnesses are caused by evil spirits, we need to cast those spirits out
- We see in New Testament, Jesus always healed according to the inner condition of a person
- Some believers may be living under the yoke of ungodliness and oppression
- They may be under negative worldly influences
- Please refer to John 14:2-4 article, for some negative worldly influences and good spiritual disciplines
- They may even be (unknowingly) participating in demonic activities, or affected by generational / ancestral curses
- We thus need to uncover the root cause of their sickness, and lead them to healing / inner healing
- We can ask the Holy Spirit to reveal too using: word of wisdom, word of knowledge, and discerning of spirits, which is are three of the nine spiritual gifts in 1 Cor 12:4-10
- And healing / deliverance is also one of the nine spiritual gifts
- Please refer to 1 Cor 13:1 article, for how our love for God and others especially our brothers and sisters in Christ prevails over these gifts
What is inner healing:
- A divine exchange of Satan’s disorder in someone’s life, for God’s order in their lives
- Doors which lead to inner hurt:
- Sexual abuse
- Physical abuse
- Emotional hurts
- Deferred hopes
- Unfulfilled expectations
- Habitual sins
- Demonic practices / activities
- Generational curses
God’s purpose in healing and deliverance ministry:
- To find out what is giving the enemy authority, to remain in a person’s life (e.g; idolatry, tarot card reading, even some yoga poses involving bowing to sun-god)
- To restore us to His image, and likeness
- To let believers reclaim rights given to enemy, renounce enemy’s control / curses, to lead a victorious life
- Break every vow made with the enemy
- Break all bonds of ungodliness, loosen oppression, be healed from inner wounds, and set free from all chains
- So there is no blockage to reading God’s word, praying, and spending time with Him
What should the modern church do:
- Be trained and equipped
- Minister deliverance to believers, like in the early church
- Help them grow up healthy, after they are delivered
Why do all these:
- Evil is increasing, throughout the world
- Many are deceived, and desensitised to the works of evil
- The church is at war with the enemy / devil all the time
- Jesus came to set the oppressed free and break every yoke (Isa 58:6)

- Please refer to Matt 11:28-30 article, for how Jesus yoke is easy and light
- Preaching gospel must be accompanied by healing the sick, and casting out demons
How to prepare yourself to receive healing / deliverance:
- Affirm your faith in Christ
- Humble yourself
- Confess any known sins / repent
- Release God from blame
- Forgive self and other people
- Break with occult / false religion
- Be released from every curse
- Take your stand with God
- Expel! And receive healing
- We can pray for unbelievers for physical healing, because sometimes miracles are a powerful testimony
- For deliverance, they have to be Christians first, so that he / she would then have the Holy Spirit’s authority to cast out demons
