This series on empowering women is based off my handwritten notes, which I took as I attended a church conference on this topic in Sep 2024.
Testimony by Joe:
- 2 years ago, he went for regular checkup
- Blood test needed to see specialist, diagnosed with lupus, and incurable disease where the body attacks itself
- Confirmed 2nd test, that he indeed had lupus
- He gradually started to have symptoms he never had before
- Last year Jun, he woke up feeling pain in the left leg, 2nd day pain was worse, 3rd day pain was excruciating
- Went to hospital, ran several tests, and doctor doesn’t know what caused the pain, whether lupus
- But found the leg was inflamed
- Was put on a lot of different medication, until he was reacting to it, and his face started swelling, thankfully his wife told doctor to stop
- That Sat night was Father’s Day and he promised kids before that he would be coming home, but had to call them and say he couldn’t come
- He was discharged from hospital with and IV strap, and physiotherapist
- And went for the Women’s Conference first night, and was blessed
- Second night he felt pain still, and didn’t want to go, but Holy Spirit said you better get there
- And the speaker was preaching about how she was preaching despite being in pain on wheelchair, and her healing
- Joe thought maybe God might do something tonight
- And during the altar call, the speaker said you don’t need to wait for people to lay hands on you, start calling out for Jesus, and he did
- Speaker then said do something you haven’t been able to do before, and he remembered his leg
- And found himself leaping, his blood test improved subsequently week by week
- And his doctor was Christian too, and he told him about how God healed him
- And they decided to take a leap of faith to stop all medication for a week, and see how it goes
- A year later, he was lupus free
Introduction:
- Prophetic word: Cast your bread upon the waters (Ecclesiastes), what you sow, is what you will reap (for the kingdom)
- You start sowing, if you want to reap
- Proverbs: He who sows righteousness, will have a sure reward
Asking with audacity before the King:
- When you meet a king, you first pay homage, instead of making the request first
- Then when you gain his favoured he extends his sceptic and ask for your request, that he might fulfil it
- Sometimes it’s not what the speaker preached, but what the Holy Spirit wants to reveal might be far deeper than what was preached
- Beyond revival, is the authority, the weight of the glory of the God
- You declare what you want to see
- The anointing God gives us, is what He trusts us with: a nation
- We are getting ready for revival, and readiness is not about the power it’s already there, but our posture
- Let’s have the audacity before the king, like what Paul says
- As though we are the horse riding the King, and wherever he goes we will be there too
- Let’s not put limits on what God says, take some time to ask Him for something audaciously
- Napoleon gave generously cities to the people, because they honoured him
Being salt to the world:
- Personal encounters, are personal, but they are not private, that’s how we minister / bear witness
- It costed something for speaker in wheelchair mentioned above to go through this, and for God to manifest healing
- 2 Kings 2:19: God is not just power / might (revivalist), but counsel, knowledge and understanding (builder)
- Elisha didn’t just want to heal the sick people who drank the water
- But he healed the water, so God’s knowledge and understanding adds to His power / might, so that people that are sick don’t go back sick
- Elijah poured salt into the water, as the water was bad due to sins of men, and needs cleansing from the salt
- Lord I hallow myself before You, send me to a place, where I can be salt to others
- We must be known, by the difference we make
- We can either let things happen, or take action
- The temple was restored before the wall, because the health of the wall (nation), depends on the health of the temple (church)
- We have the light of the world in us, and are anointed for times like this
- God knows you can’t, that’s why He puts His anointing in our vessels
- God trust me with something on your heart, your burden
We need Mordercai leaders:
- We need zealous men and women for God, Modercai didn’t sleep when hearing of injustice to Israelites done, he went in the middle of the street in sackcloths
- He has the facts rights, and knows what needs to be done
- Judges 5:16-17: Why you sit among the sheepfolds to listen to music, or remain on the ship
- v18: God begins to commend people who went out, not for their strength, but their sacrifices
- Just like Jesus sacrificed for us
- Highest level: We love not our lives, even unto death
- We can’t come to this holy place, and live without our own legacy for God
Owning the anointing:
- Tonight let’s own the anointing, it’s done through consecrations, that our life is not our own
- That’s what anointing does
- It reminds us that we have an obligation
- It reminds us we can’t mess with sin
- Anointing is a mixture of oils
- Anointing empowers you for certain things, it is an entrusting
- Woman with Alabaster oils, came and didn’t regard anyone’s opinion
- And when she broke that oil, and poured it on the master’s feet, it mixed with His anointing
