This series on intercessors training for Singapore is based off my written notes, which I took as I attended a church conference on this topic in Feb 2025.

Through these four days we have been able to plough deep, praise the Lord you are still here.

I just want to take a few moments to tie up some loose ends.

To give you some homework assignments, so you can continue your journey of learning.

Throughout the Scriptures from Gen to Rev.

Take these examples I’m going to share with you, and study them in your small groups.

So you can continue to see the principles reinforced.

I’m going to give you a few examples of intercession in Scriptures.

The first one is Abraham interceding for Sodom and Gomorrah.

Since you are students I’m not going to give you the Bible references, I don’t want you to be lazy, but to go dig for yourself.

But you going to answer these questions, 1) Did the intercession fail or succeed, 2) If it failed why did it failed, 3) If it succeeded what were the principles he used to succeed.

By now you understand that intercession can fail.

When we say fail, it’s fail to meet the objective of the intercessor.

For example there is a drought and the intercessor goes to pray for drought, success is rain.

If they fail, why? If they succeeded, what are the principles they used to succeed?

4) What was the motivation that caused the intercessor to intercede?

5) What was the attitude of the intercessor?

You will notice those that failed, their attitude is wrong, or God is not faithful?

Something to look for.

6) How well did they identify with the people? How well did they put in the gap between God and the people?

7) How well did they understand God’s vantage point? In other words, did they understand what the problem was, and are they responding to the problem?

So now let’s go back to the list now of Bible examples of intercession.

Next, Joshua after he failed at the battle of Ai.

Next is Psa 44.

Next is Psa 89.

Next, Jer 13-14.

Next, Samuel interceding for Saul.

Next one is Dan 9.

Next is Neh 9.

David and the Gibeonites.

David and the census to number the people.

Ezra interceding about intermarriages.

Here’s a tricky one, David and Abigail.

This one is special because they were not interceding to God, this one was between Abigail, her husband, and David.

But the principles of intercession are the same there.

Elijah and rain, he was a man just like us, and God brought a drought.

Jesus in the garden of gethseme, what did it take for Jesus to break through, see the battle, and realise he also had to walk through the principles of intercession.

So now let’s move on to the next chapter.

We have talked a lot about the intimacy with God.

You cannot expect to be a good intercessor, without intimacy.

Because intercessor often requires information, that is hidden.

And human wisdom is often never enough to figure it out.

Once the enemy gets a hold, when he makes a covenant with the people of the nation, he hides it.

So that the people doesn’t know about it, and you are going to need that key or information.

God is going to reveal it, and you need that persistence from him to reveal it.

Let me say it in a different way.

Jesus told his disciples that I’m going to give you the keys to the kingdom, and whatever you bind is bound, whatever you lose will be lose.

It’s not what you bind, but what key is it.

Let me give you one example, but I’m going to give you a cheat.

Throughout the Bible, does God bring drought or Satan bring drought.

Satan has no power over any nation, unless the people gives him power.

In order for him to have power, the people have to invite him, and give him authority to rule over them.

So dominion was given to you, and if you submit to Satan as slave.

Whatever you rule now, he now has authority.

Rom 6:16: Whomever you give yourself as slave, you obey him.

2 Chron 7:12: The Lord appeared to Solomon by night, and said to him I have heard your prayer, and chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice.

God told Solomon not so fast, I heard you, but what you are praying is not according to my law, and my will, listen to how you are praying.

Solomon was praying, God if we mess up on this temple, forgive us, and God says no this is not how you pray.

v13: When I shut up the heavens and there is no rain among My people.

When God brings drought upon the land, we have to ask the question why did he bring drought upon the land.

What is the problem? We need information.

Several examples of intercession I gave you were about droughts.

I’m going to give you one example.

God said when I shut the heaven, let me give you a key, can you write it down quickly.

Deut 20:8, Lev 20:6

And you will see God lay out terms of covenant.

I don’t want to unpack it, I want you to look at it, and hear what God says.

Because all the issues dealing with intercession, you will find that he is a lawgiver.

And he is the judge, he must rule according to his law.

He subjected himself according to his law.

So understand his law, and in these he says, this is how I’m going to respond, if you break my laws.

And drought is one of them.

You get to a place of disobeying me, I will shut the heavens.

So he told Solomon, it’s not just about saying prayers, there is a violation of my covenant.

Something is wrong, go address that, and turn from your wicked ways.

In intercession we have been thought repentance, and it is wonderful, it’s part of the process.

I was in Israel a few years ago, in the prayer house, some intercessors were from Canada, they were praying for Canada.

And Donald Trump passed the law they will no longer fund international abortion.

And Canada say, no problem, we will pay for it.

So anyone in the world who wanted to do abortion, can look for Canada instead.

So the intercessor from Canada is praying, Lord I repent on behalf of my government who signed this law.

How far can this go? Does this change the law?

God is looking for the change.

We have talked to you for the last few days, how we are going to get there.

So today I want to show you it’s not just acknowledging the sin.

He says there is a problem, let’s address it.

And most often it is hidden from you, and unless God reveals it you will never know, and keep firing but never hit it.

So in King David’s day there was a drought, this is a cheat I’m giving you.

1st year of drought problem, by 3rd year the problem was desperate.

The 1st year they had an agricultural economy, so the harvest failed.

But there was food from last year.

So they are eating from their stores.

But from the time they got to second years, what you have in the cupboard was almost about gone.

And so you struggle through the second year.

What happens in the third year?

You are desperate.

In the first year you pray, but it’s not a crisis.

If God answers he answers, if he doesn’t we have food, it’s not so pain, and a lot of prayers are like this.

Second year it is bad, Lord come please we need rain.

Third year you are desperate, praying and fasting, and doing everything you knew how to do, the rain dance calling upon everyone to prayer.

And none of it will work, unless you address the issue.

David is king, and the economy depends upon him.

He controls the economy.

Do you realise the surrounding nations like Tyre and Sidon, which Solomon fed, because Israel produced so much food.

They had a trading relation, where they would give Israel wood, and they would give them food.

So if there is a drought in Israel, all the nations are suffering too.

So what did David do?

The Bible said David enquired of the Lord, he is looking for the key.

And when the Lord answered him, and said to him, you have a drought here because there is a case among you.

There are people living among you, under the protection of my covenant, whom your predecessor Saul have tried to chase out.

And their cry is calling out to me as Judge.

So it is because of the Gibeonites.

David finally humbled himself, and God revealed.

And so he needs to address the issue, then he will forgive, and he will fix the problem.

Beloved, intercession needs information.

Dr John said a few days ago, that the place with God you need to be able to guard secrets.

God has to know he can trust you with secrets.

So if I’m praying for this church who is failing, and we rise up to pray for the church.

How we pray? Lord bless the church, we need money, and uproot everything that is there, Lord we tear down and bind.

That’s how we pray?

My friend also gave me testimony to this church he visited, where the leaders sacrificed a man and dealt him on the altar.

The Lord told him don’t go on the altar to sit, and when he came to preach the battle was too much.

So there was a problem, and they needed the key.

And as they went into prayer, and sought the Lord, he revealed.

They would have never guessed it, so that thing would have stayed hidden, and the enemy would have continued to frustrate the church.

Can you understand this?

There is a lot of information missing I didn’t give, you have to look at the covenant Gibeonites make with God, which means they have protection.

So David is no longer praying, and goes to speak with the Gibeonites.

I heard my predecessor did this to you, what would it take for you to forgive us.

Gibeonites said we don’t want money, give us some of the sons that try to destroy us, that we may kill them for ourselves.

And David heard their request, he said ok no problem, so he sacrificed some of his people.

In Uganda, God revealed to me, there is injustice in your land, the blood of people are crying out to me.

Uganda chased many Indians out, and under pressure they committed suicide and cursed the nation to their gods.

And we may say it is ok, they left.

But that is the key to the nation, the curse stands.

But God does not only bring solution, he also have solutions.

So you don’t go away saying this is hopeless.

Ask him to give us the solution, as we don’t know how to fix it.

Our former president then appealed to them, we have done you wrong, and we need for you to forgive us, so come back to Uganda, and reclaim your estates.

Just come and reclaim your rights there.

So there is a claim, before the righteous judge.

Have you read about the martyrs in heaven, asking Lord how long before you avenge them.

They are in heaven already enjoying glory, but still asking for judgement.

And God said to them, be patient for abit longer.

Understand they have been petitioning for a long time, and got tired of waiting, so they went back to the judge.

Can you see this? Can you understand this?

So we went around cleansing the land, doing everything we knew.

And we came back asking Lord where is the blessings.

And the Lord say it’s not me you’re waiting, I’m waiting for you.

And the Lord begin to tell him about issues in the land.

And it came back to the first missionaries who came to the land, their blood is crying out to God the Judge.

Do you understand you need information?

You have to go to the Judge he has information, and he has the solution too.

I want us to understand that it’s not prayer that is your call to, you have to go beyond that.

So back to intimacy with God, where you need your prayer altars, which we seen before.

And Dr John was showing you the power of altar, individual, corporate.

Remember we shared family brought in a dead man, we had no idea what the problem was, but we just courted the presence of God and kept worshipping, and after some time the man was rose from dead to worship God.

So learn how to contend for the presence of God.

The success of altar, is how much of the presence of God, on the altar.

When he comes, he comes with the information, and the solution about the problem.

So the primary activity on the altar, is the presence of God.

Everything you do, should be about that, it has to be your number one goal.

It’s not how many songs you sing, or how many songs, but the presence.

I have shown you the Lord wants to come and dwell, not just to visit, he wants to abide with you.

Also read up and search YouTube for Dr John’s name for recordings on how to open the heavens.

When God comes, he comes with his agenda, and his business.

There are times he comes, and you need to pay attention to how he is coming.

Say you are in church, and you are in your own altar, what are the signs the presence of God is building?

Say you are in a nice warm country, you live here now and go to New York in these clothes, you will not last a day.

Your body will shut down, but it goes through stages, and will start to warn you early.

So you will begin to feel cold, that is the first sign.

When the spirit of God is coming upon you, what are the signs?

For different people and churches it will be different, but you need to know.

Now when you are beginning to court the presence of God, there is this man I know, he can feel his belly is vibrating.

Then clarity comes, he sees clearer, the scriptures become clearer, his focus becomes narrower, his voice gets raised.

Then his attitude gets bolder, more confident, scriptures begin to flow.

So you can see stage after stage, the presence of God coming, and before you know it, tears are running down his face, he is getting lost.

In the same way this happens in individual of a person, it happens in a corporate setting too.

Sometimes the stages build very quickly, but often times you labour from one stage to the next, and many times you are defeated along the way.

A thought interrupts you that you left the front door unlocked, your phone rings, and you are defeated, the devil uses these same tricks worldwide.

When you are engaging with the presence of God, you are going to learn how to guard it.

You are going to stage to stage, and you need to measure your progress, and you need to press in, no distractions.

I’m here to see him, and I know he is coming.

You need to know your stages.

And if you are praying with people, you need to be able to recognise their stages as well.

That is what we call the breakthrough prayer, where we are breaking through into the presence of God, and opening the heavens.

Now when he is coming, he is coming about his agenda.

And there are times in prayer, but he comes as the Lord.

He doesn’t say it, but he comes as the Lord Almighty.

Have you ever been in the church and the presence of God is coming, and there is something in you saying bow.

What many of us do, is if we look around to see anyone bowing, and if no one bows you don’t bow, and so you are resisting him.

God has been telling me all these through the years, and I keep saying I’m not the right person to teach this, I need a model, someone living that life now.

The Lord told me I’m going to show you witnesses, and somehow I ended up in Uganda.

Now we are in a tent, big conference 5000 people, presence of God is reach, it’s raining the ground is muddy, but the presence of God is there.

And God said bow before me.

So I’m looking around is anyone doing this, maybe it’s the devil, you have to use wisdom.

Then from the corner of my eye, I saw this man (Dr John), bowing down and worshipping in the mud.

So I said God I don’t know how to respond to you, I failed miserably.

God thought me such a powerful lesson, did he know the ground was wet, and I was wearing my nice suit?

And yet he is saying, bow before me.

And what he wanted to do with me that day, I said no.

But that night he was taking me to places, where I didn’t want to talk to Dr John, or know, but I saw and was on a heavy conviction.

Today we have concrete floors, praise the Lord.

He was telling me about an open heaven, and I said to him show me.

And I have many testimonies I can share with you for the next few hours, but I’m going to tell you about three.

Once a year in Uganda we have a conference, and we have a special invitation for you to be our guest, come and spend the week with us.

These things I’m sharing with you are just normal.

The presence of God is so thick, you scream until you lose your voice the third day.

It’s like God is just there above that area, and you run up and down, and you’re celebrating.

The first day I came there, I went in the hotel, and was going to thank God after a long journey.

Those of you who pray, you know sometimes there is a wall, where everything is so dry, you have to encourage yourself.

I know that wall in New York city and the best of us would take a long time to break into the presence of God.

I’m accustomed to that.

So there I’m in Uganda in the hotel, and I just want to say thank you Lord, after a long journey to come here.

And suddenly the wall just gave way, and the presence gave way.

And stage 1 to 5 came all at once, tears running down my face.

I thought to my face, this is not real.

That the neighbour in my next room, said my voice was so loud, heaven would hear me tonight.

That was my first impression in the land of Uganda, and God said I want to do that in New York city.

Second story, there was a couple, with the lady with one leg short and long, and had problems walking.

It feels like she has lost her support on one leg.

So she is having problems, until she took off her shoes and realised her legs had actually grown out.

Nobody prayed for her, and so she’s there worshipping.

Her husband has thick bifocals and can’t see, until he took them off, and realise his sight has been completely restored.

The things you hear in Uganda, mind-boggling, are normal.

The last example I have, in my culture I’m the prayer warrior, I’m the man of God.

So Dr John invited me to spend a month on the mountain.

So you know how we pray abit then go to sleep.

Then I woke up at 3am to pray but can’t, so I decided to go for a walk.

And then you are hearing prayer, like woman were giving birth, either crying from the pain or cursing their husbands or both.

But you hear this travail, rising up to heaven, 3am in the morning.

So I’m investigating, and see people in the bush crying to God, deep travailing.

From one end of the mountain to the other side, they were all praying, I didn’t know what they were praying in Uganda, but they were in deep travailing.

I saw a woman speaking in English now, and she was holding on to a tree branch, and it seemed like the tree branch was praying for it to be let go.

Have you ever heard holding on to the horns of the altar.

She was crying and in pain.

I stood there and thought am I saved, do I know God?

None of them were pastors, or important people.

And in the morning, some of them were reading their Bibles and praying, for hours at a time.

I spent a month there, and felt so small.

Those of you go to Israel year after year, looking for God, I can’t see anything.

I went to Uganda and behold, the land worships with you, praise the Lord.

Uganda is one of the darkest place in Africa, and some people paid the price, God walked with them, and through them to bring Uganda out of that wickedness.

Today Dr John is here to carry this teaching, with thousands in Uganda reaching out to the world with the gospel.

So come and join us in Uganda.

Now I’m going to be there, who is coming with me, I need a hundred people from SG.

Among all countries, SG is most unique, small nation but great destiny.

If we can teach SG how to court the presence of God till he comes, and reveal his destiny for his land, and show you he has given you the power to bring it to his destiny.

You will make such noise that the entire nation, even to China, America, will see the light in the sky that radiates this light.

That’s why we are here.

We want to see this nation rise up, and we believe in you, that you can lay hold of that, and with that we want to partner with you.

Please understand the mandate for Go Nations is global, but we came to your leaders to spend the next 5 years, to walk with you.

In this area, we have already started with Malaysia, doing two or three trips yearly, and Zoom calls regularly.

We want to see a move of God in these nations, and we are convinced if you walked through the principles, God will do his work.

We are investing in you.

I want to say to you, you get the better result, when you are with us.

Come to Uganda, we will raise up intercessors, at another level.

Another stage or level, is to send missionaries here from Uganda, bringing the prayers here in all churches to the next stage.

But ideally, we would want some of you to come here to be trained, so you can be sent back to your country.

Some of these are caught, not taught, so unless you see some of these in reality you may not know what you are aiming for.

Let me finish this, I enjoy being with all of you.

Commercial is over.

So presence of God, sometimes he comes say bow before me as Almighty.

Sometimes he comes to encourage you, you feel somebody is encouraging you, you came in so dirty and worthless, and you walk out feeling loved and affirmed.

Now let me give you one of the example, sometimes he comes for war, he comes as the man of war.

Like some injustice he wants to deal with.

This time he is not looking for babies, or those who need comfort, or to bow before him.

He is looking for warriors who would rise up.

When he comes it’s not the tears that are there, you can feel the wrath of God in your belly, and you are speaking in tongues in fire.

There are times you want to break something, that you say move.

But when the Bible says he is a man of war, Jehovah is his name, you feel such power, you engage in battle.

You are doing exploits in the spirit, you are expending so much energy.

When it’s is done, he has a victory, he says come celebrate with me.

Somebody put a worship or praise worship, he says I don’t want, and it immediately kicks you off, and you march around and dance shouting, mighty is our God.

I can talk about it for hours.

In my country we are civilised people.

But in Uganda, everybody grabs their chair in the air, celebrating and dancing.

I was there one time, we won a victory, this is their manifestation of the victory.

Ps was leading the prayer, and deep travailing over what was happening.

I was there as an observer, caught off from the spirit, asking Lord what wrong did I do.

But God say, he’s not talking to me, so I watched as people in agony.

And somebody took the microphone, and the chairs went up, as though Jericho had gone down.

Then I asked God what is this, maybe I should run.

I saw one of the worship leaders, he came to the microphone, trying to raise a song to calm the whole situation down.

But the shouting just drowned him out.

So it turned out, there was witchcraft whose altar was at a tree, and somehow after the prayer the tree was broken, the demon has fled.

I have seen breakthroughs, when he goes to war, he fights war, he’s looking for soldiers, come with me.

When you feel this thing rising up in you.

And sometimes leaders come up and try to do certain things, which might quench the spirit.

This is improper response, poor response to what God wants to do.

So the leader needs to be very careful, pay attention to what God is saying, how is he coming.

That will give you a clue, what he wants to do.

And you will know victory, power, exploits in the spirit of the Lord.

Then when it’s done, you will feel victory.

Behold the Lord your God is mighty, he is strong, and chosen to fulfil his purposes through you, and called you so he can walk with you.

Lord make me fire.

You need to claim the fire, to stand.

In Acts the disciples were baptised with the Holy Spirit and Fire.

God calls you his champion, battle axe, and weapons of war.

You are fire yourself, just as God is fire.

For those of you who say Lord I want to take up the weapons of war, and engage with you on the destiny of the nation, that SG will rise up.

That the knowledge of the glory of God will be all over SG.

If you are willing to engage with God as your battle axe then come up here.

Lord here I’m, I offer myself as a warrior to stand in the gap, for my nation, I present myself.

When the Lord calls his servants, his brings you into covenant position with you, where there is exchange of names, weapons, authority, and power.

So you give him your name, authority, and power, and you take His.

You give him all your stuff, and take all of his, in divine exchange.

Lord you where I’m afraid, I take on your confidence, and I give you mind, it doesn’t work, I claim yours.

Lord give me your power, for the sake of your name.

Lord all authority in heaven and earth belongs to you.

I’m the Son of God, and claiming the authority with Jesus said he will give us.

Lord I embrace my authority, and take on my mantle, to walk in it.

In the name of Jesus.

Lord your eyes can see all things, give me your eyes to see my nation.

Lord your ears hear everything, give me your ears that I may hear the cries of my nation.

Lord give me the solution you have.

Use me to redeem SG, bless SG, prosper SG, alleviate SG.

SG will know your power, your might.

Lord I’m one with you, what you have give it to me.
