This series on intercessors training for Singapore is based off my written notes, which I took as I attended a church conference on this topic in Feb 2025.

Now is Q&A session, let’s see what questions we have, if I don’t know I will say I don’t know.

Q: Can you repent on behalf of an individual or nation?

A: What does repentance mean, acknowledging or turning away

You can identify their sins, and intercede, but can you repent? No

How can we stand in the gap as intercessors, and deal with hindrances to unanswered prayers?

How do we stand in the gap we discussed this at length.

You have a long track record of unanswered prayers, because you didn’t apply the principles.

God is not a liar, he will answer, but he will answer according to his will.

You have to understand his will and pray according to that.

Prayer is part of intercession, but intercession is more than just prayer.

Unanswered prayers, can work against your faith.

So I deal with that, by saying God you cannot lie, your words cannot return void.

If I pray and don’t see results, then I seek the keys, and ask him what is the blockage.

We prayed for someone dying of cancer, and we prayed powerful prayers, and God kept saying to us “prepare her heart”.

She needed to forgive her husband, and was also bitter against her son.

So we had to walk her through one after another in repentance.

But he wanted her, and she died shortly after that.

Now there are people we prayed for, dramatic recovery, that is the will of God.

In Thursday’s session in Intercessors Training for Singapore: Session 13 article, we mentioned we don’t get power or miracles because of covenant, so what is covenant?

Covenant is an almost impossible to break agreement between you and God.

It is the condition, in which the spiritual realm interacts with the physical.

All through the scripture we see God making covenant with Israel, David and Phinehas.

And each one have a covenant with God, and it is a strong agreement.

The closest we have to understand this is marriage.

But spiritual covenants are far much stronger than human covenant.

I hear about enemies having legal rights against people of God, is this related to Courts of Heaven.

Rom 6:16: He whom you give yourself to obey, you become his servant.

So if you give the devil access, when you submit to him he comes your lord, which means you give him legal rights to rule you, and God does not override your choice.

When you give your enemy access, he decides what he wants to do.

I’m going to ask you a hard question, can Christians have demons?

Demons are like disease, and bacteria, that stick to a person.

They are very opportunistic, you give them access, they will take advantage of those opportunities and attack you.

Some of the doors are very subtle, love songs, movies you watch, conversations.

And all of a sudden you are overcome with the power of lust.

Where do these musicians where do they get the music from?

They go out late at night, and the evil spirit gives them a song.

The next day, the artist go and record it, and it becomes number one hit.

Harry Porter, the woman was given a download, and it opens doors to witchcraft.

I never seen any of the movies, because I know what it is.

Horror movies, movies with sex scenes, simple things like that.

Pornography, is deadly, it will open doors.

Before you know it, you have somebody sleeping with you at night, somebody is claiming you in the spirit.

All of these are demonic infestations.

And they came, because you opened the doors.

So yes you can open doors, in your life.

Be careful, how you live.

Q: Would like to hear about your experience travailing prayers?

A: I think I told you abit about that, and prayed for you that God will give you the spirit to travail with groaning with words, you can ask God for that

When we know we have failed in intercession, what can we do if we failed to respond to his heart?

Go and repent, and ask him for another opportunity.

Q: Is there a place for declarative prayers, for example we declare victories when we start praying, is that effective?

A: If I walk out into the streets right now, can I stop the traffic?

But if I’m the police officer, can I stop the traffic?

The power to declare comes with authority.

If you have the authority to declare, the spirit realm will respond to you.

If you don’t, most of the time they just ignore you.

The demons say we know Jesus, we know about Paul, but who are you (they were sons of the high priest).

And they beat them up to make an example, so the whole town would not do what they did.

Authority is given by God, so do you know what your authority is?

Go and ask him.

As a pastor I have authority over my congregation, my house, and my nation.

God has given me great levels of authority, what has he told you?

Q: To hear God speak to you I have to close my eyes for long until I hear him, how to hear God if he’s silent?

A: There are many different ways God speaks to us, you need to know the channel he speaks to you most often

For me he speaks to me in dreams, when he cannot wait for me to be asleep he will show me a vision.

Sometimes he will speak to me audibly, or through my inner ear.

Very rarely, when I’m reading the word, he will speak to me.

Jesus said my sheep will hear my voice.

So if you are not hearing the voice of God, go back to Him and say Lord you promised my sheep will hear my voice.

Speak to me in a way you know I would hear you.

Q: Ps Shyane intercessors are to mind their own business, but when I sense the Holy Spirit has put somebody in my path to pray, should I pray for them?

A: Yes, the Holy Spirit is the boss, he decides who to intercede for.

Q: When you pray for someone does that person you are praying need to have faith?

A: No, when Jesus prayed for people, some of them didn’t have faith themselves.

But he had the keys, and knew what was the problem, sometimes he knew there was a demon behind, sometimes he said sin no more else a worse thing would come upon you.

The most strange one, was Jesus who sinned, why this man was born like that.

Jesus said this is not a sin issue, but he was born like that for the glory of God.

So it’s a matter of asking God, what is here.

Q: Suppose the country is under secular rule like SG, how do we pray for our country to have godly values?

A: I think I can answer that question on Zoom.

Q: Some evangelical churches don’t believe in work of the Holy Spirit, how do we pray for them to be united with Pentecostal churches?

A: Jesus said some people need to see in order that they believe.

He said blessed are your eyes that see, and also said blessed are you who see but don’t believe.

So again I’m going to point you back to the boss, ask him what is your plan.

Reveal to me your plan, amen.

Q: How can I do a prayer altar on Zoom, because the time is limited only 1hr, the people rarely know each other, is Zoom appropriate platform?

A: A lot of times, we call prayer altar prayer meetings.

Remember the prayer altar, the primary purpose is attracting God’s presence.

If Zoom is not the best platform, find 2-3 people and do it in person.

Q: Is the format of an individual prayer altar, different from family prayer altar, and workplace altars are limited to say 1hr?

A: I would say to that, that God knows what you need, he knows what it would take.

You need to be a burning coal, from your personal altar.

If you are a burning coal from your personal altar, you go to your family altar it’s easier to catch fire, won’t take an hour, same as workplace.

You are the key, and don’t have to do it from scratch.

Q: How do I effectively set prayer altar on public places like a park?

A: Why do you want to do it there?

One other things about altars is, the place has to be prepared, and protected, and defended.

As long as somebody can defile your altar, it makes it repulsive to his presence.

So in public place you raise an altar, somebody comes along and sacrifice a chicken, it becomes defiled.

Next day you have to come back, and the altar is defiled, you have to deal with that first.

Q: Does God have a specific call to intercession?

A: Everybody is called to intercession

Q: If there is a church leader exposed to immorality, how to deal with such a situation, does God use somebody who has not cleanse himself?

A: Can God speak to a sinner, a drunkard, a liar, so what is the question?

Look in the Bible, God called Nebuchadnezzar and Cyrus his servants too.

And he said Cyrus did not know him, and both of them worshipped demons.

Clearly Nebuchadnezzar is coming down to invade Judah, and the Bible say he is consulting the idols using witchcraft and sorceries.

Now if you pastor is fallen, what do you do? When you mess up, do you want them to condemn you, or throw you out?

Most of us have lived long to know, what a wicked man I am, who will deliver me from this body of sin.

The pastors are normal people too, pray for them.

Q: Is there a training course you can recommend for young people at church, for intercession?

A: You have had five days of training, go and practice what you have been given first.

Be faithful with what you have, let it bear fruits, before you ask some more.

Q: How can you teach children the priorities of intercession?

A: Children are more effective than you, why because they don’t have a lack of faith, they just believe.

The secret is to bring the children to the awe of God, teach them the story how amazing God is.

Let their superheroes be those from the Bible like Abraham, David.

Q: Do your ministers spend time in intercession for your ministry, or only spend time in God’s presence?

A: Spend time in His presence, and he will come and direct you, not just goosebumps and feel good.

We want it to feel good, but his presence comes for a purpose.

It is for you to come and ask him for his purpose.

Q: Can a Christian lose his salvation for unrepentant sin in their life?

A: My question is what does the Bible say about this? Not what you want it to say, or think it should say?

That needs to be your yardstick.

Q: How do I intercede for a believer who fell sick after entering a defiled land?

A: Some of us intercessors are foolish, we go into places where we are told not to go, we touch things we are not prepared, we fight battles when we are not equipped.

Even when we are warned, we still go ahead, and get hit.

How do we intercede?

Only when you have an information, you know how to pray for the person, else you will just guess.

Q: How do we deal with LGBT?

A: Every gay person is demon possessed, you need to cast out then he will behave normal.

Q: Can somebody be demon possessed in womb?

A: Can a spirit enter the womb?

John the Baptist was filled with the Spirit in Elizabeth’s womb.

Some woman do foolish things when they are pregnant, like do horoscopes, and go to the ancestors for them to bless your baby.

All those are open doors, and these are the spirit you are calling, to manifest in the baby’s heart.

So when some LGBT say they are born like this, they may be indeed born like this, so cast the demon out.

They know they are suffering, you know their lifestyle is wicked, but they are in bondage.

For those of you here struggling with same-sex attraction, it is a spiritual issue, deal with it.

Q: If we have a strong prayer altar in our lives, is there occasion where we need to bind the demon?

A: Did Jesus bind demons?

Can you cast a demon out of yourself?

Personal deliverance, yes you can do it.

Now if you renounce the legal ground and repent of the sin that gotten you there.

Now they are there illegal, and once they are illegal you can deal with it.

Tell them, you go.

Sometimes it’s easier to get somebody else to help, but it can be done yourself easy too.

Q: What are the territorial spirits over SG?

A: Americans were born in the spirit of rebellion, we protest don’t even know why, and argue with our government.

It’s part of our nature, its spiritual bondage.

You Singaporeans are proud people, thinking we are superior, and stronger, and it’s built into the fabric of society.

From pride, comes the spirit of greed.
