This series on intercessors training for Singapore is based off my written notes, which I took as I attended a church conference on this topic in Feb 2025.

So you realise we are not preaching right.

Is this normal here in SG? You need preaching?

I trust the Lord knows what He is doing, and he does his work well.

I have a clear assignment for rest of today, but before we get there let’s make sure we are tracking together.

I talked to you about the altar yesterday and last session too.

Recall in Intercessors Training for Singapore: Session 10 article, and Intercessors Training for Singapore: Session 11 article, we introduced prayer altars, and how they attract the presence of God.

My team and I were invited to Indiana, and called to help with the 24/7 prayer backup.

When we came to the meeting, wonderful worship team, with equipment I never seen before.

You know I’m the pastor of the church and we are on very tight budget, unless you can prove to me we need it.

And my worship leader begged me, Pastor please.

I told him we used to clap and stomp, and the presence of God would come.

So we were there and it was very well put together.

And they were singing the songs very well too.

But there was very little of the presence, very little what it means to invite the presence of God.

So I took charge after that, me and the worship team, I said let’s talk.

And we engaged in just courting the presence.

Now it is God who decide, when and how he is going to come.

And a lot of it is based on things we don’t see.

So 1hr is gone and we feel like we are just plowing, the ground is hard.

There is a level of presence we are accustomed to at our altar, and if it’s not there then we are not engaged.

Remember the presence before the blessings, in Intercessors Training for Singapore: Session 12 article.

So we are ploughing for 2 hours.

Now my worship leader has just a guitar and I was leading on a microphone.

And we were floating together, and we were ploughing and ploughing.

And after 2 hours, we feel like we are just beginning to break the top soil.

And by the time after 3hrs, we were almost done.

And I opened my eyes, the lead worship leader was there on the floor.

He has been trying to play the drums, but every time he just pulled back on the ground.

One of my team members, pulled the worship leader back, and ask him do you know what happened in the room?

They didn’t know what was happening, so we told them we were inviting the presence of God.

Our eyes were so fixed on Jesus, that we were oblivious to our surroundings.

Let me read to you one scripture, the book of Hosea 10:12.

Hosea 10:12: Sow for yourselves righteousness, reap in mercy, break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek the Lord, till he comes and rains righteousness on you.

So for how long do you seek? Till he comes.

When he comes he is going to bring the blessings, and rain righteousness on you.

And so you are going to seek.

Say you have to go to the airport, and your passport is not with you.

Or I’m late for the meeting, and don’t have car keys.

You know what’s the difference between looking for something and seeking for something?

If I’m late for the meeting, I just take my wife’s car, and don’t have to worry about finding that key.

I also have 2 passports, 2 different nations, although you are not allowed to do that here in SG sorry.

You are coming to SG and can use either one of my passport.

Now if I need to go back into US, I need my American passport, else no entry.

So if I’m in SG, and I lost my passport in the hotel, what do I do.

You take off the blankets, take off the sheets, look into the pillow it’s not there.

So you disturb the whole bed, it’s not there, what do you do next?

Nobody came into the room.

The time is going away, and I need to go to the airport soon.

You go back to the blanket again, it’s supposed to be here.

When you are seeking for something, you cannot afford not to find, you must find, your life depends on it.

In the same way, you are not looking, but you are seeking.

And you are going to turn everything until you find it.

So seek the Lord until He comes.

There are things you know are in the way, here in SG you know it’s the schedule.

You are too busy, and he will not change to suit you, after all he is the Lord.

God I’m going to pray, but I give you 2 hours, if you don’t answer me by 2hrs then I’m going to do my own things.

I have done prayers like that, but it doesn’t work, he is the Lord and he gets to decide.

Sometimes he says come and seek me, and day after day I sought him.

But even after 5 days nothing?

Maybe I heard wrongly from God, I’m done with this, and he doesn’t answer.

Let me tell you a secret about seeking the Lord.

How many have done 40 days, prayer and fasting only water?

So you are seeking the Lord, and seeking for the breakthrough in the church, and say you declare seven days.

What happens in Day 1? Exciting

Day 2? Day 3? Still looking forward.

I have done the 40 days fast, and sometimes I have just given up, Lord you are taking too long.

I have shown you he wants to come yes, but there are things that are coming in the way, and you may know it.

Say you are praying for breakthroughs in the church, and during 2nd day you had a dream something wrong you had done as a kid.

Or you are praying for your ministry, and God reveals something from another church.

Usually in the fast, God begins dealing with the layers, standing in the way, and you are ploughing through.

Sometimes things are well, and God will call you and say seven days fasting.

He is calling you because he sees something coming, and he says the enemy has too many hooks in you, I want to protect you.

Else you will be derailed 2 years, so my son seven days fasting, just before your wedding.

Day 1, he strips a layer.

Day 2, he strips another layer.

Day 3, he strips another layer.

And all of your prayer and fasting is repentance, and speaking in tongues, because you did not want to fast in the first place.

Many times we get into trouble, and say Lord where are you, why didn’t you protect me?

Many times, we look back and will realise he is trying to tell you something, he is a good God.

One day I’m in church, and God said stay and pray.

But I need to go home.

So I get in the car, and he say stay and pray.

I drove out and he said one last time, stay and pray.

But I need to go home, my wife and kids are waiting for me.

I drove down that night, and a woman ran across the road, my truck is destroyed.

I thought this woman is dead, I hit her hard.

She was taking to hospital and had surgery, then I’m in a lawsuit.

Then I go and pray, but I couldn’t say anything because he warned me to stay and pray.

I’m a young man, and she’s an old lady, my lawyer told me doesn’t look good, I would be found guilty.

So he told me settle with her privately, and pay her everything, and until today I’m still paying.

Now we are talking about courting the presence of God, when he comes he comes to talk about his business.

But do you know me avoiding a lawsuit is his business, him rescuing me is his business.

But he requires time, seek me until I come, he decides when he wants to come.

So I tell you sometimes in a 3hrs prayer meeting, we do not say one prayer request, until he comes.

And when he comes, we may not get our prayer list, but let him talk about his business first.

Now when the presence of God comes, let me get my list quickly, because now I know he is hearing me.

But what happens when you pull the list, the presence just disappears, why?

Because he didn’t come for that.

I came because I’m declaring war on witchcraft in Uganda, I have trained you for the past 6mths to do this, come and partner with me.

You say Lord but my son has messed up at school, can we talk about this first.

Lord where are you? He’s already gone.

This has happened in many of your prayer meetings, but you still pray anyway.

Lord come fill and fix the problems.

It’s time to come and seek the Lord, till he comes.

Beloved, I want you to understand how critical it is to the Lord.

He is always right.

What does that mean?

If he is right and you are right, then somebody is wrong, and it’s never me that is wrong, which means, he is wrong?

We are in church fasting, and praying about our debts.

Our debts is nothing to you.

It is you who gave us power to create wealth.

Lord come and settle the debt, send the money, the cattle and thousand hills belong to you.

So we pray like this till Day 3 of fasting, my spiritual father is leading the prayer and I respect him.

And fire, Lord send the money, we need help.

And one time during the break, God said get your pen and paper, and immediately I thought he will say seven days you are going to get your answer.

And I started telling Him, this is what we know, we are quoting the scriptures.

Our fathers have taught us this kind of prayer, and we have been praying like this a long time.

Lord we read your mighty power, but now we ask you for this little thing, and you are not going to do it.

Now he is talking to me all this.

So when he talks, I don’t want to interrupt him, when you interrupt him, he often goes quiet.

When he is telling you ridiculous things, just listen with faith.

When I was talking to him like this, I saw a field it was excellent very nice.

I looked around with pride, but the field next was God’s field.

So I got over the fence, and looking right into it.

My field is perfect, there’s nothing wrong.

So I’m looking over, and trying to look for the fault there.

Lord you have made promises, and we are asking you for this thing, and you are not even willing to give it.

So we look to the other side, and try to find fault in his word.

Then he said an audible voice, “you will never have an opportunity to call me a liar”. Now, not ever.

What does that mean?

Everyone of my words, I will fulfill them, none of my words are a joke.

So I realise I’m right, and he is always right

So where’s the problem?

My field is perfect, how can I be wrong?

My eyes are messed up, I see my life through my life, and in my life I’m good.

So I quickly came back, and realised ok, there are things that are wrong I didn’t say.

Then I still argue with God, I don’t see your power and hand we read about in the Bible.

And he said, you want to see my power, then walk in covenant.

The things I have commanded you didn’t do them, you left your first love, and still demanding I honour my time, and you are not honouring yours.

But the Lord has been faithful to speak, and bring correction.

Because he knows I’m going to come to places like this, and speak to people, in this conference.

Where people may have same question, Lord where is your power.

And God will say come back to covenant.

Back to prayer meetings, we would say Lord come and do this.

Then God said to me, I will never be your servant.

And so I was treating him like my servant.

Are you addressing the Lord who sits on the throne, or a servant you can command.

God fix that problem, my children they need you, Lord move that out of the way.

Do you talk to your husbands like this, when you do that, do you get a favourable answer?

My wife does that sometimes to me, and I look at her and say helper, know your place.

So let us approach Him as though he is God, if you do this, it will change the way you pray.

You are no longer demanding things of him, you will learn to ask.

So this brother is sick, and you say Lord come and heal him, and anoint him with oil, and you have no idea what the problem is.

My friend is at the prayer meeting ministering to people, and this man is in a wheelchair.

And he sees the man, and the Lord said don’t go to that man, don’t pray for him.

After prayer meeting, his friend ask the pastor to pray for him.

He heard clearly from God not to pray, but he got pressured and prayed.

And that man got out of the wheelchair and everybody celebrated.

After that the Lord rebuked him, this man I put him in a wheelchair to save his soul.

Now he can run about, and will do sin, and his soul is lost.

We have a boss, settle his requests first.

As intercessors, people bring prayer request all the time.

And I go back to my boss and ask if he wants me to touch it.

Sometimes it comes with personal pain, and I ask Lord may I touch this.

Now he knows you have an assignment that needs your full assignment, and you cannot take on both of them.

And sometimes he does not answer you.

So pay attention to assignments God has given you, you need to start and finish it, meaning God will say it’s done.

The teachings I’m teaching you now, are things we handle and teach at our bootcamp at home.

So we are not preaching, and the goal is for everyone to get understanding.

Because next time you go and pray, and you bring these old things, the Holy Spirit will say to you, you know better.

Now you can say you know better, and have understanding, my eyes have seen.

Remember till he comes, and when he comes, he will rain righteousness on you, he will bless you, and reward you.

So God is not a servant, a piggy bank, an ATM machine.

When you go back for him also, you learn to take your clock and throw it away, it’s a practical thing we can do.

When you go to pray, say your daddy gave you 2 hours to pray.

The enemy is going to come, guaranteed, because he doesn’t want you interacting with God.

His greatest job is to deny you access.

Beloved, the devil is going to come.

If you understand this, then the question is how does he come.

Primary weapon, distraction, very effective, your phone is a tool that he uses very well, WhatsApp notification, phone call, alarm.

You are praying and the phone starts ringing, you decide what to do.

You are plowing and open three levels, and you answer that phone you go back to level one.

You are now at level four, you answer you get to level one.

How God sees that, you say you love me and you allow yourself to get distracted.

And sometimes when you pick up the phone, it’s usually nonsense call, Satan used.

Your children at home, and you tell them I’m going to pray, unless the house is burning down don’t call me.

Now you know they are going to fight and scream, that’s the devil working.

Ignore them, and God will take care of them.

My mother has a frog, climbed from outside of her house, goes by the window, every time she starts praying.

And when she gets on fire, and he starts croaking.

And when she stops, he stops croaking.

The devil is wicked and cunning.

Now I’m done talking, forgive me for not preaching.

I have done a lot of preaching and it doesn’t help much, and God has told me sit with my people and teach them what I have taught you.

Now beloved, you know better.

That means my job is done.
